Recipes: Wholey Foods Sweet Treats

If you had a read of the blog post and recipe we published not too long ago of the totally amazeballs Wholey Foods smoothie bowl, you’ll know how obsessed we became with this product. No word of a lie, we have endless supplies of this stuff at home, work AND in our gym kitchen. Yep. When we find something we love, we go HAM!

It’s such a clean, wholesome and diverse product – you can simply blend it up with a glass of milk for a protein filled start to the day, or add it into any recipe your heart desires! We decided to go a little bit crazy, adding a Wholey Foods protein hit (and delicious taste!) to a few of our favourite healthy sweet treats 🙂

Makes: 10 small or 6 large muffins


6 Eggs
1TBS Vanilla Extract
2TBS Honey
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
2tsp Baking Powder
1/2 cup Frozen Raspberries
60g Dark Chocolate (chopped)
1/2 cup Cocoa Wholey Foods (


1. Preheat your oven to 160C

2. Mix the eggs, vanilla bean and honey for 10 minutes, or until light and creamy

3. Pour in the coconut oil while the eggs are still whipping. Mix well

4. Add in the Wholey Foods and baking powder. Mix until well combined

5. Fold in the frozen raspberries and dark chocolate

6. Pour the mixture into your muffin cups

7. Bake for 35 minutes, or until cooked through

8. Cool for at least 30 minutes before eating



Difficulty: Easy!

Makes: 12 cookies


100g Almond Meal
40g Coconut Oil
40g Honey
1/2tsp Vanilla Bean Extract
60g Dark Chocolate Pieces
100g Vanilla Wholey Foods (


1. Preheat your oven to 140C

2. Combine the almond meal, coconut oil, honey, vanilla bean extract and Wholey Foods

3. Mix and form into a dough. If the mixture is a little too dry, add a splash of water in to help it form

4. Add in the chocolate pieces and mix in

5. Form the mixture into 12 small cookies

6. Press onto a baking tray lined with baking paper

7. Bake for 20 – 30 minutes, or until golden brown

8. Cool completely and then enjoy!



Difficulty: Easy

Makes: 16 bars


330g Almonds
25 Dates
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2tsp cinnamon
Pinch sea salt
1 Orange
100g Cocoa Wholey Foods (


1. Put the almonds, cinnamon, Wholey Foods and a small amount of orange zest into a food processor. Process until the mixture is “crumbly”

2. Add dates and vanilla extract, then process again until the mixture begins to bind together

3. Add the juice of 1/2 the orange if the mixture needs some extra moisture to bind together

4. Pour the mixture into a deep baking tray (we only used half a baking tray), push to the edges and flatten to your desired thickness

5. Refrigerate for 1 hour

6. Cut the slab into 16 equally sized rectangles
